Serenity Fern - Forever Found lyrics
My brothers are scattered my sisters are lost. The whole church is shattered and what is the cost? To be all together as once we all were... My heart aches with sadness, my memories blurr I recall the days When I was so young, I never could have imagined How far we would be flung. All of us claim the truth we hold dear. All of us claim every answer, no fear. Yet so many cut off each other so quick, If you don't see it my way, my brother, your sick. I wonder if they're not the sickest ones of all, As they don't even seem to care where their brothers may fall. On most every doctrine we seem to agree, Yet the fingers point out where your different than me. If we only care for our own then whats new? But to open our hearts, love enemies too... Did our Lord not say for us to love each soul? When He returns, He will make all the sick ones whole. The law has it's place we both believe, But for a few small distinctions we're blind and can't see. And so it continues our backs we still turn On our very own brothers, Oh when will we learn? Perhaps this truely our worst crime of all, We don't know our brothers and we don't help him at all. Our Lord died for all who strive with their might, We come under His grace, we don't know all that's right. But know this my brother, my sister and all, If you need a place to land, here's a soft place to fall. My door is wide open, for I'd hate to hear him say, I don't know you because you turned my people away! When I stand before Him, I hope He will say, What you did for your brother brought you here today. Enter my kingdom, and here is your crown. The brother you thought was lost, see, I have found! Now there are no more tears, no sorrow in your heart, The time has come, for a new, world to start! |
